AgriExchange’s commitment to quality, consistency and reliability of fruit over an extended supply window is sustained through integral horticultural and management practices.
The semi-desert climate combined with irrigation drawn from the Murray River make the Riverland in South Australia, and the Sunraysia district on the north- west border of Victoria, perfect locations to cultivate citrus, wine grapes, avocados and persimmons.
The fruit remains relatively pest free due to the semi-arid environments, however, when control is required, AgriExchange uses integrated pest management principles in order to minimise damage to both the orchards and the environment.
Fruit sourced from the Riverland in South Australia is particularly valuable to the export market due to the area’s fruit fly free status.
Combined, these properties produce(on average) in excess of 60,000 tonnes of citrus and 11,000 tonnes of wine grapes per season.
